Below are just some of the questions we have been asked in the past.  If you have any other queries, please use the email link at the foot of the page and we will get back to you as soon as possible

How much space do you need?
Having played venues of various shapes and sizes, we are pretty adept at making the most of the available space. However, a minimum of 3x3m is required for an optimum setup.

How is it best to time things?
For a typical evening we will normally play for 3 hours, which is 1 hour for the first set, then a 30 minute break plus another 1 hour and 30 minutes for the second set (with an encore if requested). We can do longer or shorter sets if needed. Feel free to ask for anything you want when making the booking.

Where will you travel to?
Although based in Surrey, we are willing to travel to most places in the South East, however prices may vary depending on location.

Will you learn our special song?
If there is a particular song which you would like us to play, but is not part of our repertoire, this can be arranged. Please note that whilst we enjoy the challenge of learning new tracks, not all songs will lend themselves to our particular instrumentation. In the event that a request contains instrumentation which we are unable to reproduce live, adaptations to the arrangement may be necessary and in some rare instances your request may simply not be possible. All requests should be made at the time of booking in order to allow ample rehearsal time and to assess suitability.

Do you have lights?
We can provide lighting which is suitable for pubs and small parties at no extra cost, however if you require anything more substantial the cost will be added on.

Can my sisters/bosses/daughters dog sing with your band?
As a busy working covers band our equipment is our livelihood and we are therefore understandably keen to avoid any damage caused by inexperience, intoxication, misuse etc. We are more than happy to accommodate guest singers/musicians subject to prior arrangement and approval. Any requests made on the night will be at the bands discretion, however we ask that clients/guests refrain from making such requests as refusal may cause offense.

What will the band wear?
We will normally rock up in our own clothes, which probably like yourself varies from day-to-day, however if your particular event requires a more or less casual dress code, we are more than happy to accommodate as required.

How long do you take to set up?
Our normal set-up time is an an hour to an hour and a half before we are due to play. However this can vary depending on location and venue.

Can we use your sound system for speeches?
Clients are welcome to use our microhphone and PA system for speeches.

What is your cancellation policy?
Once you have booked Best Chilled to play at your venue / event then you know you are in for a treat! However, we appreciate that circumstances change, and so if you do need to cancel here are our terms:

We require 72 hours for a cancellation and failure to comply will result in half the agreed booking fee to be paid via BACS transfer. This is due to us being booked up to six months to a year in advance. Or – just dont cancel, you and your audience will have a fab night!
